On June 30, 2021, the China Building Materials Federation issued a notice on soliciting plans for carbon peaking, carbon neutrality national standards and industry standards in the building materials industry

The notice stated that in order to implement the major decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and give full play to the standard, guiding and improving role of standards in the development of the industry, the China Building Materials Federation is in accordance with the standard technology of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
According to the requirements of the Management Department and the Ministry of Industry and Information, the collection of national standards and industry standard plans related to carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in the building materials industry will be carried out
