Sinochem News, according to "American Lubricants Weekly" on April 20, according to data released by a government agency, Brazil's base oil production (mainly API I base oil) fell by 15% in February, and imports fell.

Brazil's base oil production fell to 44,000 tonnes in February, down from 52,000 tonnes in February 2021 and down 10% from 49,000 tonnes in the same period in 2020, according to Brazil's National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels

Brazil's base oil production totaled 93,000 tonnes in the year to February, unchanged from a year earlier

The South American country imported 44,000 tonnes of base oil in February, down 68% from 138,000 tonnes a year earlier

Brazil imported 90,000 tonnes of base oil this year through February, down 59% from 220,000 tonnes in the first two months of last year
