According to news from "Lubricant Americas Weekly" on November 3, Brazil's base oil production in September was 22% higher than the same month last year, which was higher than the level before the outbreak of the new crown
According to data released by the Brazilian National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency, Brazil’s base oil production (mainly APII base oil) reached 60,000 tons in September, which was higher than the 49,000 tons in the same month of 2020 and also higher than in 2019.
Correspondingly, Brazil's base oil production in September increased by 13% from the 53,000 tons in August
In the third quarter, Brazil's total base oil was 173,000 tons, an increase of 26% from 137,000 tons in the same period last year, and an increase of 15% from 151,000 tons in the third quarter of 2019
Brazil’s September base oil imports increased by 33% from 70,000 tons in September last year to 93,000 tons, an increase of 45% from the 64,000 tons in September 2019
Brazil imported 244,000 tons of base oil in the third quarter, an increase of 55% from 157,000 tons in the same period last year, and an increase of 43% from 171,000 tons in the third quarter of 2019
