Brazil plans to generate 2 GW of solar power by December

Recently, the Brazilian solar energy association Absolar said that it expects to reach 2GW of solar photovoltaic installed capacity
by December 2018.

Absolar said there are currently more than 27,000 distributed generator sets in operation with a combined capacity of more than 320MW.

It is understood that the industry grew by 270%
in 2016.
In 2017, generation capacity grew by 304% and is expected to grow another 358%
this year.
