Borouge becomes the strategic partner of the STOP project

From plastic application to waste recycling, the goal is to establish new solutions and models that can be rapidly expanded in the entire plastic industry chain

November 6 , 2019 : Borouge joins Borouge to the project "STOP" , co - founded by Borealis and SYSTEM.

"The positive impact of the STOP project shows that collaboration between industry and government can provide effective solutions for sustainable waste management and stopping marine litter," said Alfred Stern , CEO of Boreali.

The STOP project has attracted several strategic partners since its establishme.

"For the plastics industry, it is no longer a reasonable argument for the products sold to leak into the environme.

Working with industry partners, the government and local communities, the STOP project has set three main goals: achieving zero leakage of waste into the environment, improving resource efficiency and recycling more plastic, and creating new profits for local communiti.

Borouge has pledged to join the STOP project expansion programme, which has been launched in the new partner city of Jembrana in Bali, Indones.
