    Recently, Bharat Heavy Power Co.
    , Ltd.
    (BHEL) of India announced that it has received an EPC order
    from Gujarat to build a 75 MW photovoltaic power plant.

    It is understood that this will be BHEL's largest solar photovoltaic project
    to date.
    The order of Gujarat Industrial Power Generation LLC to build a 75 MW SPV power plant in Gujarat Solar Park has been given to BHEL.

    With this order, BHEL's solar portfolio has risen to 545 MW
    .
    The company is currently executing more than 150 MW of ground and rooftop solar PV projects
    across the country.

    For the past three decades, BHEL has been committed to the continuous development and promotion of renewable energy products
    .
    The company has increased its state-of-the-art solar cell production capacity to 105 megawatts and solar module annual to 226 megawatts
    .
    In addition, its electronic systems division is adopting high-efficiency batteries in Bangalore to manufacture solar panels
    .

    BHEL is one of
    the few companies in India with a dedicated solar business team.
