Recently, vertically integrated solar energy company and industrial goods company Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) announced that it has secured EPC contracts
for two solar projects from Gujarat.
The first order from Gujarat Alkali Chemicals Limited (GACL) is to build a 20MW project, while the second project from Gujarat Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GSFC) is a 10MW project

The two solar plants will be completed at the Gujarat Solar Park in Charanka, Gujarat, with a total value of more than Rs 125 crore (about $18.

Under these orders, BHEL's executed solar capacity at the Gujarat Solar Park has reached 120 MW, while the company's solar portfolio has risen to 580 MW
.
Currently, the company is executing more than 210 MW of ground-based and rooftop PV projects
across the country.
