Recently, German renewable energy company BayWa AG said it plans to acquire a 70% stake
in about 2 MW photovoltaic power plant project of the Dutch GroenLeven Group.
BayWa said the GroenLeven Group will retain a 30 percent stake
in the Dutch project as part of the joint venture.
The CEO of BayWa AG openly explained: "The Netherlands is an attractive and growing market for the development of solar installations, the country has established viable regulations for electricity supply, and renewable energy generation has not yet reached its full potential

Members of the Management Board responsible for energy noted that "since the country has so far relied mainly on natural gas, renewable energy must now be significantly expanded to achieve the necessary CO2 reductions
