BASF and DuPont Safety and Construction ("DuPont") today announced that they have signed an agreement under which BASF will sell its ultrafiltration membrane business to DuPo.

Anup Kothari, President of BASF's Performance Chemicals business unit, said: "The Yingge team has performed very well, continuously optimizing ultrafiltration membrane technology, and has become a leader in the field of water purificati.

"As a global leader in innovative water treatment solutions, we are always on the lookout for solutions to help our customers solve water challenges around the world," said Rose Lee, president of DuPont Safety and Constructi.

The transaction is subject to review and approval by relevant authorities and is expected to close by the end of 201
