BASF strengthens R&D capabilities with acquisition of Solvay polyamide business

With the acquisition of Solvay's polyamide business, BASF has strengthened its research and development capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region with new processes, technical expertise, and upgraded materials and component testing services

BASF plans to integrate Solvay's R&D centers into its existing R&D facilities in Shanghai, China and Seoul, South Korea, enhancing R&D capabilities and enhancing BASF's position as a solutions provider to develop advanced material solutions for key industries

BASF has expanded its component testing capabilities in Shanghai, adding a total of eight tests including three comprehensive vibration test benches, pressure blasting test benches, coolant circulation test benches, oil and gas separation test benches, and stone impact test benches
