German chemical company BASF has selected chemical and ingredient distributor Univar Solutions as an authorized distributor of its Lupragen amine catalysts in the United Stat.
BASF has more than 15 polyurethane (PUR) amine catalysts in its product portfol.
The company sells high-performance reaction accelerators, such as very low-emission PUR catalysts, under the Lupragen bra.
Typically, this catalyst is a tertiary amine, which is used to assist the reaction of the main components isocyanate and poly.
Joey Gullion, Vice President, Univar Solutions, said: "We are excited to expand our specialty product portfolio with Luprag.
BASF also selected Univar Solutions as its distributor of Baxxodur polyetheramine curing agents and chain extenders in the US Midwe.
BASF sells a variety of amine curing agents under the Baxxodur bra.
Gullion added: “Leveraging our market-leading supply chain and BASF’s high-quality amines will benefit our customers who rely on us to provide technical solutions to their formulation requiremen.
In July, BASF decided to invest in the specialty chemicals business to increase the production capacity of Tinopal CBS optical brighteners in Monthey, Switzerla.
In May, the company announced plans to build an engineering plastics compounding plant and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) plant at its integrated chemical production base in Zhanjiang, Chi.
