According to a study by Helal Uddin Ahmed, chair of Management Information Systems at the University of Dhaka, there will be 22,000 tons of solar-related waste in the country next year, of which 12,000 tons will be acid and 1,000 tons will be lead

Helal Uddin Ahmed said, "Solar systems first came to Bangladesh in 2003 and their life cycle will end
around 2023.
At the same time, more and more solar systems will gradually reach the end of their useful life, so we have drafted a solar panel disposal policy, which will be completed
within this year.
