As of late December, a well-known brand of basketball shoes currently sold in the domestic market has added 25% of Baling Petrochemical's thermoplastic rubber SEBS (hydrogenated styrene butadiene block copolymer) YH-530 products

Baling Petrochemical & Rubber Department is the first enterprise in China to use technology with independent intellectual property rights to realize the industrialized production of SEBS, with an annual production capacity of more than 100,000 tons

It is understood that in the process of studying the application of SEBS, researchers from the Rubber and Plastics Center of Baling Petrochemical Rubber Department learned that ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) foam materials have poor rebound, large deformation, and hardening at low temperatures.

Because the conventional SEBS processing temperature is too high, it cannot be directly used in the EVA foaming system, and a certain amount of aromatic oil needs to be filled.

Due to the good fluidity of this brand of SEBS product, it can meet the injection foaming process with high production efficiency in downstream shoe factories.
