Azure Power recently announced that it has been awarded a 200 MW solar project in Gujarat and will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement
with the state.
It is understood that the solar project is developed by Azure Power outside the solar park and is expected to be put into use
in 2019.
Back in 2009, Azure Power developed and operated solar power plants under the Gujarat Solar Policy and has been in the field for nearly a decade
.
Due to the high level of solar radiation in the state, coupled with an extensive and stable grid network and the strong credit quality of DISCOM, India's first solar projects were selected in Gujarat
.
Azure Power develops and operates India's first distributed solar rooftop project
in Gandhi Nagar, the capital of Gujarat.
In 2013, the World Bank recognized the project as one of
the top 10 public-private partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Founder, Chairman and CEO of Azure Power said, "This solar project is a historic milestone
for us.
Our mission is to be a leading solar energy company

We have a 10 MW project
in Gujarat.
We sincerely hope that in celebrating the company's 10th anniversary, this 200 MW solar project is acquired, which is our portfolio capacity of more than 470 MW, helping us to become a sinful solar power supplier
