Asia to lead the world with 45% of new polyethylene capacity

According to a report from Dubai on July 14, 2022 by Arab Trade Network, GlobalData, the world's leading data analysis company, predicts that between 2021 and 2026, Asia will lead the global polyethylene production capacity with a 45% sha.

The latest report published by GlobalData, titled "Polyethylene Industrial Equipment Capacity and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Forecast by Region and Country, 2021-2026, Including Details of All Plants Under Construction, Planned and Announced Projects", shows that during the forecast period Inside, Asia will have the largest new polyethylene capacity and expansion of existing polyethylene projec.

Sudarshini Ennelli, oil and gas analyst at GlobalData, said: "For upcoming new polyethylene projects, Asia is expected to add 27 million tonnes of polyethylene capacity per year to the 67 planned and announced projec.

Ennelli concluded: “India will follow with 99 million tonnes/year of new polyethylene capaci.
