Ascend announced that it has completed the acquisition of Italian companies Poliblend and Esseti Plast
.
"Poliblend and Esseti Plast are a great complement to our current business," said John Saunders, European Vice President, Ascend, "Our experience as a large, fully integrated polyamide 66 manufacturer, coupled with Poliblend's recycled and virgin PA66, The PA6 and POM product portfolio, along with Esseti Plast's extensive masterbatch business, will provide customers with a wider choice of premium, high-performance materials around the world,

The acquisition opens up Ascend's second production facility in Europe and complements its Tilburg plant in the Netherlands
.
