On Monday, Argentina announced clear rules for auctioning 1GW of renewable energy projects, including a quota
for 300 MW of solar photovoltaic projects.
The project bidding was set for October 12, two weeks
later than set in the preliminary rules in May this year.
The contract
will be signed in November.
According to the Renovar renewable energy program, the first auction is approaching
.
Bidding will
begin on September 5.
Under the agency's renewable energy development plan, bidders receive tax benefits and World Bank guarantees
.
Eligible projects range from 1-100MW and must be completed
within two years.
At present, the completion time of the project is 730 days, except for a few places, the completion time is 900 days
.
Recently, other countries in Latin America have also launched renewable energy projects, especially solar photovoltaic projects for public auctions
.
These include Peru, which received 185MW of PV projects in February, and Brazil, which received 2GW of PV projects
last year.
