According to Buenos Aires on September 10, Argentine shale gas producers have warned that a large number of shale gas wells will be closed
    during the summer.

Vacamurta in Argentina is one of
the largest shale vistas in the world.

Transportadora de gas del Sur (TOS), Argentina's largest gas carrier, and Excelerate Energy of Texas in the United States said on Monday that they signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate the construction of Argentina's first liquefaction plant
due to rising production of shale gas in Valcamurta, Argentina.

TGS and Excelerate said in a joint statement that they would consider building the liquefaction plant
in Puerto Blanca, a port city in southern Buenos Aires province.

They said they plan to complete the study by the end of the year, when the two companies will share the results with the Argentine government and industry executives to decide on next steps

Neither TGS nor Excelerate has stated whether the facility will be used for floating liquefaction projects or onshore liquefaction projects
