Apra and GC plan to build plastic packaging recycling plant in Thailand

Austrian packaging solutions provider ALPLA has announced that it will collaborate with PTT Global Chemical (GC) on a feasibility study for the construction of a recycling plant in Thaila.

Apra Corporation develops and produces innovative plastic packaging solutions and has been active in plastic packaging recycling for over 25 yea.

GC is the chemical flagship brand of PTT Gro.

"GC will work with Apra to conduct an investment study on the establishment of Thailand's first high-quality recycled plastic recycling plant, including materials such as RPET and RHD.

At present, the global demand for recycled plastics, including Southeast Asia, is growi.

In 2018, Apra signed the Global Commitment of the New Plastics Economy, launched by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the United Nations Environment Program.

Apra has also set a target, earmarking an investment of 50 million euros to expand its recycling activiti.
