Bulk Infrastructure and Amazon Web Services signed an agreement to allow the cloud giant to use Bulk Infrastructure's submarine cable, Havfrue
.
The agreement includes access to infrastructure data centers in southern Norway as well as the Havfrue connection, an undersea cable system
linking New Jersey, Ireland, Norway, Denmark and the rest of Europe.
The Havfrue submarine cable system was jointly developed by Bulk Infrastructure and Facebook and Google, and deployed
by TESubCom.
While Bulk Infrastructure will be the owner and lander of the Norwegian branch of the system, submarine cable supplier and operator Aqua Comms will operate most of the path.
According to the plan, the Havfrue submarine cable system will be put into use
by the end of this year.
