Recently, Iowa customers and communities will benefit
from Alliant Energy's Iowa Energy and Invenergy's new renewable energy.
Now, the two companies announced a contract for Invenergy to develop the 210 MW Richland wind farm project
in Sark County, Iowa.
Alliant Energy will build and own the wind farm

Located in west-central Iowa, the wind farm is expected to create more than 150 construction jobs and bring tens of millions of dollars in economic benefits
to the region.
It will be completed in early 2020 and is expected to provide enough clean energy
to 80,000 Iowa users each year.
The wind farm is part of Alliant Energy's plan to add 1,000 megawatts of new wind power to its Iowa customers by the end of
2020.
The expansion of the project comes from five new wind farms
in Iowa.
The Richland wind farm is the fifth and final part of
the project.
