On June 24, 2022, a new submarine cable maintenance vessel, Ile de Molène, was successfully launched in Calais, France, and will join the ASN (Alcatel Undersea Network) fleet

ASN President Alain Biston and Mayor of Calais and Vice President of Haute-France Natacha Bouchart attended the inauguration
.
It was revealed that Ile de Molène will be responsible for maintaining submarine telecommunications cables
for Alcatel submarine network customers.
It will be operational by the end of the second quarter of 2022
.
The vessel has undergone significant engineering and upgrade plans to enable it to best meet its future maintenance tasks and the various needs
of ASN customers.
The ship will be equipped with the latest generation of equipment and instruments to ensure the expected level
of performance and efficiency required for its various tasks.
The Ile de Molène will fly the French flag and will be run
by Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.
