The Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) recently added 12 new members - EQuATEPETROCHEMICAL, Gemini, Grupo Phoenix, Mondi, Novolex, PepsiCo, Sealed Air, Sinopec, SKC, Storopack, TOMRA and Westlake Chemic.
AEPW Chairman David Taylor said: “Leading companies across the plastics value chain clearly recognize that plastic waste in the environment is a serious and growing problem, especially in the ocea.
The AEPW Alliance was established in January 2019 and consists of 27 founding members who develop, use, sell, process, collect and recycle plasti.
With the addition of new members, AEPW now has 39 members worldwi.
Member States pledged to invest more than $5 billion over the next five years to help eliminate plastic waste from the environme.
AEPW's global vision and integrated strategy focuses on infrastructure development to collect and manage waste and increase recycling, especially in developing countri.
