Advanced Petrochemical SK Gas invests in PDH and PP complex

Recently, Saudi Advanced Petrochemical Company said that it and South Korea’s SK Gas will invest US$8 billion to build a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) complex project in Jubail, Saudi Arab.

Advanced Petrochemicals said the project, which will be built in Jubail Industrial City, will produce 750,000 tonnes of propylene and PP per ye.

Advanced Petrochemical Company said that the project is expected to produce high value-added PP for the production of PP composite materials for the automotive industry, and to achieve partial import substitution for the Saudi PP indust.
