    ADFD is financing the construction of 18MW solar projects in Mauritius and Rwanda

    Recently, the Abu Dhabi Development Fund (ADFD) funded 18 MW of solar projects
    in Mauritius and Rwanda.

     

    The ADFD program, in its fifth funding cycle, focuses on providing affordable, clean energy
    to more than 2.
    5 million people in low-income communities.

    Following the UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund (UAE-PPF), the UAE also announced the launch of a new initiative
    to implement innovative clean energy solutions in the Caribbean.

    Through the newly established $50 million UAE-Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund (UAE-CREF), ADFD has approved funding
    for five renewable energy projects worth $15 million.

    "ADFD has long adopted a clear development assistance policy that commits to eradicating global poverty and achieving sustainable development
    in developing countries," said the Director-General of ADFD.
    As the main national entity for development assistance, the Fund contributes to strengthening the UAE's position as a respected and valued member of the international community and a significant global provider of development assistance

    ADFD is also a backer of Jordan's recently completed 105MW project, which is also the largest project in the country to date
