Recently, Qingyang Petrochemical Company adopted new technology to transform the atmospheric pressure and continuous reforming unit 95+ high-efficiency heating furnace to achieve stable operation, and the thermal efficiency was increased to 95.

The heating furnace is the core equipment for heating, cracking and conversion reactions of refining and chemical enterprises, which plays a vital role
in the product quality, yield, energy consumption, safety and long-term smooth operation of the production equipment.
Qingyang Petrochemical atmospheric pressure and continuous reforming plant has a total of 6 square box heating furnaces, the design heat load accounts for 54% of the total heat load of the whole plant's process heating furnace, and the fuel energy consumption accounts for about
60% of the total energy consumption of the two sets.
To this end, Qingyang Petrochemical regards the improvement of energy efficiency of heating furnaces as one of the
important means of energy saving, carbon reduction, quality and efficiency.
During the overhaul in 2022, the company implemented the energy-saving technology transformation of 95+ high-efficiency heating furnaces and achieved a successful
start-up.
It is understood that Qingyang Petrochemical 95+ high-efficiency heating furnace mainly adopts the new technology of "fuel gas composite corrosion resistance system + high and low temperature air preheater", and adds a composite corrosion resistance reactor to the fuel gas fine treatment at the front end, deeply removes organic sulfur, inorganic sulfur and some nitrogenous compounds, and solves the problem of low-temperature flue gas dew point corrosion of
the heating furnace from the source.
At the same time, the heating furnace is equipped with high and low temperature air preheaters to recover the residual flue gas of the heating furnace, reduce the exhaust gas temperature to 80 °C, and improve the thermal efficiency
of the heating furnace.
After the completion of the transformation, the 95+ high-efficiency heating furnaces of Qingyang Petrochemical atmospheric pressure and continuous reforming units met the design requirements, and the thermal efficiency was increased by 2.

It is estimated that the full load operation of the two sets of plants can save about 4,700 tons of fuel gas, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 14,000 tons, and reduce the comprehensive energy consumption of oil refining by about 1.
