Recently, the American Chemical Industry Council (ACC) issued a statement calling on the Biden administration to ensure the exploitation of shale resources in the United States in terms of policy and to implement a more predictable trade policy

ACC stated: "Maintaining the vitality of the US chemical industry and the ability to produce large amounts of chemicals means that the United States must ensure the exploitation of huge shale gas resources

ACC pointed out that chemicals are still one of the largest export industries in the United States, with exports of US$136 billion in 2019, accounting for 10% of all merchandise exports
