Renewable energy company AC Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ayala Group, said it had secured another 80MW solar project after securing a 300MW solar project
in Vietnam.
AC Energy said its joint venture with AMI Renewable Energy will include 80MW PV plants in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces, which will be commissioned before the June 2019 solar feed-in tariff deadline
.
This is on top of
plans to add 300MW of projects in the country during the same period.
According to the company, the projects, which cost about $83 million, are financed by debt and equity from Indonesia's Indovina Bank and RCBC Philippines, while AC Energy will participate
with at least 50 percent of the shares.
Last year, AC Energy formed a platform company with AMI Renewable Energy to build renewable energy plants in Vietnam, including the 352MW Quang Binh wind project

The company aims to have a total of more than 5GW
of renewable energy projects by 2025.
