Recently, ABB, a technology provider, said it has provided microgrid solutions
for its Vadodora manufacturing plant in Gujarat, India.
The microgrid will be installed in manufacturing parks in India to help it use solar PV and battery energy storage
.
This technology combination will support plant productivity and enable green power
at night or during cloudy days during the day.
The manufacturing center is the company's largest plant in India with more than 3,000 employees producing transformers, high voltage products, distribution relays, engines, generators and turbochargers
for various national projects and more.
ABB's capability control and automation systems will serve microgrids and ensure optimal use of
renewable energy.
Cloud-based remote service systems will be used for the operation and maintenance
of microgrids.
