Recently, ABB, a global leader in power and automation technology, announced that it will help escort the Denza 500 pure electric vehicle on the 318 National Highway from Lhasa to Nyingchi on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau
.
The DC charging piles provided by ABB as its global strategic partner were also installed on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau for the first time, and operated safely, reliably and smoothly in Tibet at an altitude of more than 3,500 meters
.
Due to the restrictions on the development status of new energy vehicles and supporting charging piles in Tibet, no public charging piles have been built at present, so the ABB DC charging pile used in this test drive was transported from Shenzhen and installed around
the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa.
Although the charging facilities in Tibet are just beginning, the state has promoted the construction of public charging piles and community charging piles, and ABB charging piles will provide more and more extensive services
to Tibet.
ABB's Global Head of EV Charging Infrastructure said, "We are proud to be able to provide ABB Charging Stations to support
this test drive.
According to the charging data fed back from the site, the charging of ABB DC charging piles in the plateau area is basically the same as in the plain, and there has been no slowdown, interruption, instability and so on
