ABB, a global leader in power and automation technology, today announced the formation of a new joint venture, Linxon, with SNC-Lavalin (SNC.
TO) to execute a turnkey electrical AC substation project

The partnership was announced in December 2017 and Linxon is expected to commence operations on September 1, 2018, with SNC-Lavalin owning a majority stake and controlling stake
in the joint venture.
Linxon will undertake turnkey electrical AC substation projects
related to renewable and conventional generation, transmission and transportation solutions.
The turnkey solution will include project design, engineering, procurement, construction, management, commissioning and after-sales support
.
It was revealed that Linxon's opening backlog was worth $340 million
.
