Australian Industrial Chemicals Act
The Australian Industrial Chemicals Act was issued by the Australian Federal Government's Department of Health in 2019, and will be implemented simultaneously with the Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme (AICIS) on July 1, 2020
.
The Act is mainly used to manage the import and production (collectively referred to as introduction) activities of industrial chemicals in Australia, covering the commercial registration, declaration, assessment, risk management advice and other parts of industrial chemicals
.
Australian Industrial Chemicals Inventory AIIC
The Australian Industrial Chemicals Inventory (AIIC) contains more than 40,000 chemical substances with industrial uses.
Each recorded record corresponds to the name of a chemical, and may also include the chemical's CAS number, molecular formula and corresponding introduction supervision obligations.

Chemicals that have been listed in the Australian Industrial Chemicals Inventory AIIC are existing industrial chemicals, and those that are not listed are new industrial chemicals

Industrial chemicals listed in the Inventory can be entered by any registrant, but must comply with the provisions in the list and assume the relevant responsibilities for record keeping and reporting
.
