3 projects in the petrochemical industry won the Luban Award for Overseas Projects

Hengyi (Brunei) PMB petrochemical project is undertaken by China National Chemical Engineering Third Construction Co.

, Sinochem Second Construction Group Co.
, Ltd.
, Nanjing Nanhua Construction Co.
, Ltd.

etc.
This project is the first overseas large-scale petrochemical project to fully adopt Chinese standards for design, manufacture, construction and operation, and has been identified by the state as the first batch of key projects in the “Belt and Road” initiative
.

According to Zhan Deqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sinochem Third Construction, the project has complex environmental factors, high safety risks, and difficult construction.
The construction period target was once considered an "impossible task" by the industry

Sinochem Third Construction undertook the construction and installation of 18 units including the pre-hydrogenation unit, continuous reforming unit, and aromatics extraction unit of the project, which took 900 days and nights to complete

The project will be fully put into operation in November 2019, and the completion acceptance will be completed in May 2020

At present, the devices are running safely and stably, and the performance indicators meet the design requirements

The project includes new production plants with an annual output of 100,000 tons of PVC, 47,000 tons of acetylene, 75,000 tons of caustic soda and 300,000 tons of methanol
