On October 18, 147 photovoltaic power stations built in the powerless area of Yushu, Qinghai have completed power transmission and commissioning, which has solved the basic electricity problem for 48,100 households in Yushu Prefecture 142047 farmers and
herdsmen.
It is understood that the power supply in Yushu Prefecture has always been dominated by small hydropower, and the lack of electricity during the dry period in winter is as much as 60%.
In order to complete the target task of using electricity in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" proposed by the national "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", CLP Investment Yellow River Company built an independent photovoltaic power station project in Yushu, Qinghai, without electricity, and issued a household photovoltaic power supply system to solve the basic living electricity problem
for herdsmen living in scattered households and scattered retail households whose power grid cannot be extended.
According to Yang Zhandong, head of the project department of Yushu non-electric area of Yellow River New Energy Integration Company, the Yushu project originally planned to build 282 independent photovoltaic power plants ranging from 10 to 200 kilowatts, due to the gradual extension and coverage of the power grid, in order to avoid repeated investment in national resources, Yellow River Integration Company actively communicated and coordinated with the State Grid and the local government, and adjusted or canceled
some power stations with the consent of the local people's government.
At present, all 261 power stations confirmed for construction have started construction, and a total of 253 civil power stations have been completed, 97% complete, and it is expected that all of them will be put into operation and grid-connected power generation
by the end of this year.
