Recently, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Market Supervision and Administration organized sampling of 238 batches of 9 types of food products, such as dairy products, beverages, confectionery products, alcohol, egg products, sugar, food additives, salt and cooking oil, oil and its products.

(4) Yellow icing sugar produced by The Nurmati Candy Factory in Yining City was found by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Research Institute that the color value did not meet the national standards for food safety.
The Nurmati Confectionery Factory in Yining City, China, objected to the inspection results and applied for a re-inspection, and the preliminary inspection conclusions were maintained after re-examination by the Institute of Agricultural Quality Standards and Testing Technology of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
For non-conforming food found in the sampling, the Market Supervision Administration of the Autonomous Region has tasked the relevant local (state or city) market regulatory authorities to immediately organize the disposal work, ascension of product flow, take measures such as recalling unqualified products from the next rack to control risks;
to remind consumers that if they find or purchase non-conforming food items listed in the annex in the market, please call the Food Safety Complaint Reporting Number 12315 to report a complaint.
