World Food Day 2022 and National Food Security Awareness Week launched

in governance.
Having bread in your hands and not panicking in your heart is the truth
at all times.
China's grain harvests have been bumper year after year, and we have achieved basic self-sufficiency in grain and absolute security in grain rations; at present, grain stocks are abundant, reserves are sufficient, supplies are abundant, and the market operation is generally stable
.
However, we must soberly realize that with 9 percent of the world's arable land and 6 percent of the world's fresh water resources, and nearly one-fifth of the world's population, the basic national conditions of having more people and less land determine that China's grain supply and demand have been in a tight balance for a long time.

The construction of warehousing and logistics facilities is an important part of improving food security and ensuring food security, and an important support for
securing China's rice bowl.
In recent years, China has vigorously implemented high-quality grain projects, accelerated the construction of grain storage and logistics facilities, effectively promoted the high-quality development of the grain industry, and ensured the quantity, quality and storage safety of
grain.
In recent years, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration of Food and Material Reserves have issued a series of policies to continuously increase capital investment, encourage and support the construction of a large number of grain storage and logistics projects in various places, and improve food security capabilities

The high-quality food project is a powerful measure
to implement the rural revitalization strategy and the national food security strategy and deepen the structural reform of the agricultural supply side.
Since its launch in 2017, the project has achieved positive results
in increasing the supply of high-quality grain and oil products, promoting farmers' income, increasing enterprise efficiency, and benefiting consumers.

According to the relevant person in charge of the State Administration of Food and Material Reserves, from 2017 to 2020, the central government has arranged nearly 21.
5 billion yuan in funds, driven investment of more than 60 billion yuan, built more than 5,400 grain post-production service centers, and achieved full coverage of major grain-producing counties; Comprehensively improve the functions of more than 1,500 grain quality inspection institutions, and increase the monitoring coverage of grain-producing counties with more than 50,000 tons to 60%; It has directly increased the number of high-quality grain by more than 50 million tons

In 2021, in order to further amplify the results of the implementation of the high-quality food project, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Food and Material Reserves jointly issued the "Opinions on Deepening the High-quality Food Project" to launch a new round of high-quality food project

Support all localities to carry out "six major improvement actions"
such as green grain storage, variety quality branding, quality traceability, machinery and equipment, emergency support capacity, and saving and reducing health consumption.
Up to now, all localities have made overall plans to make use of the incentive funds and grain risk funds arranged by the central government for large grain-producing counties, increased financial support, promoted the implementation of projects, and the upgraded version of the high-quality grain project has achieved remarkable
results.

At present, the scale of grain storage facilities in China has been significantly improved, and the facilities conditions have been significantly improved; Relying on key grain logistics channels, docking with the national comprehensive transportation backbone network and hubs, supporting the construction of a number of grain logistics parks at important logistics nodes, and continuously enhancing logistics service capabilities

The relevant person in charge of the State Administration of Food and Material Reserves said that it is necessary to increase efforts to promote the construction of high-standard grain silos, implement actions to improve green grain storage, promote the construction of grain storage facilities and the high-quality development of storage management, and ensure the quantity, quality and storage safety of

This year's World Food Day and National Food Security Publicity Week will comprehensively and deeply publicize the historic achievements and changes in national food security since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Actively participate in international development cooperation and global governance on food security, and demonstrate the responsibility of a major country to ensure food security; Promote effective practices of food conservation and loss reduction throughout the chain, and carry out specific measures
