The occurrence of drug resistance has largely limited the effectiveness
Associate Professor Yu Meng of Southern Medical University and Yongxia Wang, Director of the Department of Mammary Science, Dongguan Hospital Affiliated to Southern Medical University, reviewed the relationship between the main characteristics of tumor microenvironment and drug resistance, and summarized the current application of different microenvironment regulatory strategies in the treatment of drug-resistant tumors (Figure 1).
In this review, the authors discuss the mechanisms by which key features of TME, such as hypoxia, microacidity, immunity, microbiology, and metabolism, lead to tumor resistance, and summarize a series of studies
In recent years, the design of nano-drug delivery systems is no longer limited to passively responding to TME, but gradually deepens into active micro-environment regulation
