Evonik's Coating Additives business unit showcased its latest portfolio of food packaging ink desmoulators and moisturizers at the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg.
these products help formulating designers optimize their product performance while meeting a wide range of standards.
products on display include silica-based defogant AIRASE ®5355 and AIRASE®5655, as well as organic defoulant AIRASE®4655
China
. Regarding wetting agents, Estron launched the SURFYNOL®355 with a particularly wide range of food compliance and high - molecular weight TEGO®Wet550.
AIRASE®5355 is a powerful sioxane defoiling agent for controlling and quickly eliminating foam without defects in water-based coatings, inks and overprinted varnishes. AirASE ® 5655 is an ideal sioxane decompression defoulant with excellent compatibness. As an alternative to sioxy alkyl additives, AIRASE ®4655 is a relatively compatible oil-based defoulant. It's easy to add and offers excellent compatibility with high shear stability. None of these defoulants contain mineral oils, organic solvents, or alkyl phenol ethyloxygenates (APE).
SURFYNOL®355 surfactant is a substrate wetting additive designed to provide dynamic and static wetting. It is the first choice for overprinted varnishes, which can be easily added to the water-based system and provide excellent wetting for hard-to-wet substrates. Among substrate wetting additives, it provides the widest range of food contact compliance. TEGO®wet550 ensures excellent printing results, especially on absorbent substrates, and has low migration potential due to its high molecular weight.
