Male breast cancer (MBC) is a rare disease with some known risk factors, such as age, genetic disorders, family history, hormonal influence and radiation

The Norwegian Offshore Oil Workers (NOPW) cohort was established in 1998 and recruited 25,347 male workers who answered the questionnaire

This research group previously reported twice the incidence of MBC in the NOPW cohort compared with the general population in Norway (standardized incidence ratio [SIR]=2.

This study also conducted internal comparisons, using a Cox proportional hazard model adjusted according to age (time scale) and education level

This time we report on the obvious occupational risk of male breast cancer, hoping to inspire further research in the future
