Karissa Barthelson from the Alzheimer's Disease Genetics Laboratory at the University of Adelaide said: "This is very interesting because we know that when Alzheimer's disease finally develops, people's brains will be severely lacking in energy

"When we realized this common connection, our research took another step forward and reanalyzed data from another research group that studied an important Alzheimer’s in mice.
