Medical representatives cannot enter the hospital without filing

In fact, in accordance with the regulations of the medical representative filing management measures that have been implemented, starting from December 1, 2020, medical institutions have the right to inquire about medical representative information or require medical representatives to produce a filing form in accordance with the filing requirements.

In addition, the academic promotion activities carried out by medical representatives should be approved by the medical institution, and the form and content of the consent are not specifically required; medical institutions shall not allow undocumented medical representatives to carry out academic promotion and other related activities to the medical staff or pharmacy personnel of the medical institution.

It can be seen that with the full implementation of the medical representative registration system, medical representatives who have not been registered will not be able to carry out academic promotion activities.

The Administrative Measures stipulate that after December 1, 2020, for medical representatives who need to carry out academic promotion activities, the holder should ensure that they have completed the filing on the filing platform designated by the National Bureau.

Under the filing system, the name, gender, photo and other information of the medical representative are publicized, and the public can inquire about the filing information of the relevant medical representative through the pharmaceutical filing platform.

For medical representatives who do not comply with regulations, the drug marketing authorization holder shall promptly correct them; if the circumstances are serious, the authorization shall be suspended to carry out academic promotion and other activities, and job training shall be carried out for them, and the authorization shall be reconfirmed after passing the assessment.
