WACKER Chemical today unveiled the first China International Import Expo, showing cutting-edge technologies and products developed by the Group in recent years. These include ACEO®Silicon 3D printing technology, which has great application prospects in automotive, aerospace, medical and mechanical engineering, silicone precision films that can be used as electroactive polymers for industrial applications such as smart wearables and wave power generation, and chewing gum 3D printing technology that personalizes the color, shape and taste of chewing gum. In addition to the silicone 3D printing and chewing gum 3D printing, which were first demonstrated in China, WACKER booths are equipped with holographic lenses that allow viewers to learn about silicone applications in new energy vehiclesusing virtual reality technology. The China International Import Expo is being held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10, 2018.
Import Expo demonstrates the Chinese government's strong support for trade liberalization and economic globalization, as well as its determination to open its markets to the world, and WACKER was one of the first German companies to decide to participate as an active supporter of free trade and economic globalization. China is WACKER's largest single market in the world, with half of its 1.2 billion euros in sales coming from imports, while 20 percent of WACKER's products in China are exported to international markets, and free trade means a lot to WACKER.
- Dr. Heda , Director of WACKER Group, through this exhibition, WACKER will introduce the company's cutting-edge products and technologies to the Chinese market, identify potential customers and partners, jointly develop the Chinese market, and help China's transition to high-end manufacturing.
- WACKER Greater China President Lim Bo
WAK Booth No. 3A3-003 (001) ACEO® Silicone 3D printing is the world's first silicone elastomer-based 3D printing technology, using DOD technology on-demand drip adhesive, can be used to produce a variety of geometry complex parts and previously impossible products. Silicone's unique properties of heat resistance, low gentle toughness, transparency and bio-compatibility make this technology suitable for design modeling, parts production and small-scale production in a wide range of industries including automotive manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and mechanical engineering. CEO A ® a range of services, including design support, training courses in print labs, and an online store for file uploads and orders.
3D printing technology enables the production of structurally complex components that are not possible with traditional manufacturing processes. The anatomical model, made with this technique, has a soft touch and can be used for pre-surgery exercises.Silicone Precision Film is an ultra-thin silicone film with a purity of 100%. The film is flawless, has a uniform thickness of up to 20 microns and a dieletric strength of more than 100 kV/mm. Because of its superior electronic and mechanical properties, stability and environmental compatibleness, WACKER silicone precision films can be used as electroactive polymers (ESPs) for intelligent wearable products and wave power generation. In addition, ultra-thin silicone precision films control small shifts in the executor, helping manufacturers design very precise and efficient pumps, relays, artificial muscles, clamping devices, and sound systems.
wacker silicone precision film with extremely uniform thicknesses of up to 20 microns and can be used as an electroactive polymer (EAP) for industrial applications such as smart wearables and wave energy generation.'s world-first WACKER chewing gum 3D printing uses the company's new CAPIVA® premixed chewing gum base, capIVA ® is much less viscosity than conventional gum base, so it can be processed with a 3D printer. This new technology allows the shape of chewing gum to be no longer limited to strips, grains or lumps, but also to add a wide range of water-based natural food ingredients, such as fruit juices, coffee or plant extracts, to personalize the color, shape and taste of chewing gum. Compared to traditional chewing gum, the gum made with this technique has a low viscosity and is easy to remove from the surface of the object.'s chewing gum 3D printing technology gives chewing gum a personalized color, shape and taste.
addition, WACKER booths are equipped with holographic lenses that allow viewers to interact with a panoramic virtual car and learn about the application of WACKER silicone products in new energy vehicles through cutting-edge virtual reality technology. As a bonding, sealing, potted or coated material, silicones can be used in a variety of important components such as new energy vehicle motors, batteries and electronic controls to ensure their performance and functionality, maximize the life of the powertrade, and effectively dissipate the compact battery system and electrical components through thermally conductive silicones.
