Vietnam's " Customs Online" reported on November 15 that although Vietnam's aquatic product exports to China continue to decline, it is still expected to exceed US$1 billion this year
    .

In the past two years, China accounted for 17-18% of the Vietnamese aquatic product export market.
Vietnam’s exports to China exceeded US$1.
    4 billion.
China is one of the top three markets for Vietnamese aquatic product exports
    .
However, due to the continuous decline in exports to China since the beginning of this year, exports to China only accounted for 11% of Vietnam’s total aquatic product exports in the first three quarters of this year
    .

According to Li Heng, deputy director of the VASEP.
PRO Center, since April this year, Vietnam’s exports of aquatic products to the Chinese market have continuously dropped by 11-51%
    .
The reason is that the strict control of imported frozen aquatic products by China's major ports has led to excessively high costs for Chinese importers, which has affected the profits and demand of importers and Vietnamese export companies
    .

Especially since mid-July this year, the export of aquatic products to China has fallen further due to the impact of the epidemic, which dropped by 36% in August and 51% in September
    .

Since the third quarter of 2020, China has repeatedly announced that the new crown virus has been detected on frozen aquatic products imported from India, Ecuador, Russia, Argentina and other countries.
Therefore, China Customs announced that it will increase the inspection of frozen aquatic products to prevent the new crown.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association, as of the end of September this year, Vietnam’s aquatic product exports to China had fallen by 20.
    5% year-on-year to US$768 million
