The Plant Protection Bureau of Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced on the morning of November 24 that Vietnam has successfully opened export markets
    for some agricultural products.
Specifically, longan has successfully entered the Japanese market, sweet potatoes have entered the Chinese market, and lemons and grapefruit have entered the New Zealand market
    .

2022 is likely to be the year
with the most harvest of Vietnamese agricultural products.

After the successful export of passion fruit, durian and banana to the Chinese market, the two countries recently signed the Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Vietnam's Sweet Potato to China
    .

On November 15, 2022, Vietnam and New Zealand also signed an agreement to open the door
for the export of Vietnamese pomelo and lemons to the New Zealand market.
Recently, Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) also announced its decision
to allow Vietnamese fresh longan to be exported to the market from November 18, 2022.

Hoang Trung, Director General of the Vietnam Plant Protection Agency, believes that opening the international market and signing a protocol to facilitate the sale of agricultural products abroad through regular trade channels will create transparent legal conditions for Vietnamese agricultural exports, and at the same time inject impetus into Vietnamese farmers to carry out production activities in a more professional, efficient and large-scale manner, which in turn will help increase the income level
    of farmers.

In the next stage, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Viet Nam will launch the first batch of export activities for the above-mentioned agricultural products, with the aim of gradually increasing the export of these agricultural products
    .

Plant Protection and local authorities will work side by side with exporters, packaging and farmers to ensure that sweet potatoes, longan, lemons and grapefruit reach consumers in markets such as China, New Zealand and Japan as quickly as possible
    .

Plant Protection Agency leaders hope that participants in the agricultural export value chain will continue to update information in a timely manner and work closely together to ensure smooth trade in agricultural products in existing markets and expand access
    to new markets.
Therefore, on the basis of high-quality and high-value growing areas, we will further enhance competitiveness and successfully build a brand
    of Vietnamese agricultural products.
