UV and thermal dual response coatings have been developed based on benzodiazeptones/polyacrylates/median TiO 2. Reversible surface wetting coatings have excellent combined properties.
the potential use of reversible surface wetting coatings in oil-water separation, especially serious oil spill contamination, has been widely studied and
. Here, a new system has been designed to easily manufacture UV and thermal dual response coatings with high adhesion and mechanical robustness. Bisphenol A's benzodiaxamine (B), polyacrylate (A) and mid-hole TiO 2 particles (T MES) are carefully selected, mixed and cured to form a bat MES triple composite coating through the spraying process.
From hydrophobic to hydro-hydro-humidification conversion
the resulting coatings show a wetting conversion from hydrophobic to hydro-hydrophobic, with excellent wear resistance, using 240 pieces of sandpaper at 2.5 M to maintain surface condition after 400 cm wear. At the same time, the coating's adhesion, toughness and hardness properties can reach 5B, 9.8J and 6H, respectively.
flexible polypropylene esters and mid-hole TiO 2 are the main reasons for the combined excellent mechanical performance. These findings not only provide new systems for controlled wetting coatings, but also new methods for manufacturing mechanically robust surfaces.
the study was published in October 2020 in volume 147 of Organic Coatings Progress.
