After enjoying a fat rich meal, many westernized people are willing to drink a cup of coffee to relieve greasiness But a Canadian study found that the habit could double blood sugar levels and affect health The results showed that after eating a big meal and drinking sugar water, the average blood sugar level of the subjects was 32% higher than that of the healthy people who only drank sugar water In a further study, the researchers asked the subjects to drink two cups of coffee each five hours after the meal and another cup of sugar water one hour later The results of blood glucose measurement showed that the average blood glucose level of the subjects was 65% higher than that of the healthy people who only drank sugar water This means caffeine exacerbates the health effects of a high-fat diet.
