To control plastic pollution, we need to work together

Recently, in order to further implement the promotion of plastic pollution control, the nine departments jointly issued the "Notice on Solidly Promoting Plastic Pollution Control" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), which strengthened territorial management responsibilities and departmental supervision responsibilities, and clarified key areas and priorities.

Clarify the management responsibilities of governments at all levels and relevant departments

The first is to implement management responsibilities and formulate detailed decomposition plans

The second is to pay close attention to key areas and clarify the division of functions among departments

The third is to strengthen supervision and law enforcement, and build a departmental linkage mechanism

Provide comprehensive and actionable governance measures

First, around the main goals, specific implementation standards have been clarified

The second is to advance steadily and orderly, and gradually implement it by region and field

The third is to fully consider the feasibility, set exemption scenarios and adjust them dynamically

Further strengthen social co-governance and the participation of the whole people

The first is to guide industry enterprises to take active actions to implement the goal of banning and restricting the use of plastic products

The second is the coordination and co-governance of industry responsible entities to jointly deal with plastic pollution

The third is to strengthen publicity and guidance, and create an atmosphere for the participation of the whole people
