Xinhua News Agency, London, June 3 (Reporter Liang Xizhi and Dong Chengjie) The Times Higher Education in the United Kingdom announced the 2020 Asian University Rankings on the 3rd.

In this year’s rankings, Tsinghua University continued to top the list, Peking University rose from fifth to second, and the University of Science and Technology of China ranked tenth (tied with Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea).

The National University of Singapore ranked third

This year, 489 universities from 30 countries and regions in Asia entered the rankings

Phil Barty, Chief Knowledge Officer of Times Higher Education, said in an interview with a reporter from Xinhua News Agency that for the first time, mainland Chinese universities have taken the top two spots and continue to show the world their growing strength

The Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings in the United Kingdom uses 13 performance indicators to consider the strength of universities in teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international prospects
