Xiangshan Science Conference was initiated by the former State Science and Technology Commission (Ministry of Science and Technology) and founded with the joint support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is the highest-level, interdisciplinary and small-scale permanent academic conference in China's scientific and technological community with the main goal of exploring the frontiers of science and promoting knowledge innovation. The meeting explored the frontiers and future of science in a basic way, with commentary reports, thematic reports and in-depth discussions.
this meeting focused on the scientific frontiers of nutrition and health, the development trend of nutrition and health industry, nutrition solutions in national health and other three central issues of academic exchanges. More than 50 experts and sectoral representatives from the fields of health, food science, nutritional health, agriculture and biotechnology attended, 16 of whom made thematic comments and presentations.
Yang Yuanxin, President of the Chinese Nutrition Society, chaired the meeting as one of the executive chairman of the meeting and presented a report entitled "National Health Issues and Countermeasures" on beaded by academician Wang Yide, who was unable to attend the meeting due to the itinerary conflict. The report mentions that China is facing the severe challenges of chronic noncommunicable diseases, and the international community has reached a broad consensus on nutritional health, and put forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of China's nutritional health industry in terms of promoting nutrition policy legislation, strengthening talent capacity-building, increasing the intensity of nutrition science and technology innovation, and improving health literacy and cultural shaping. In his summary, Professor Yang Yuxin fully affirmed the significance of the two-day meeting in which experts from different fields discussed the significance of nutritional health and industrial development, as well as the wonderful presentation of new theories, technologies and ideas, and put forward four suggestions. First, for the nutrition science, food science, the need for new tools, new methods, new technologies to help explore, cognitive human development and healthy and longevity of important scientific laws, the discovery of these major scientific laws will produce many major theories, and give birth to new industries. Domestic research in these areas needs to be strengthened, which will also be a near-term focus in the field of nutritional health. Second, the development of various analytical techniques, evaluation techniques and diagnostic techniques based on the process of human life is an important technical support means to promote the development of nutritional science. At present, with the rapid development of science and technology, nutrition science developed from biochemistry, food chemistry and medicine should strengthen and attach importance to the research of special disciplines such as food analysis and diagnosis and intervention technology, so as to speed up the development of nutrition science. Third, nutrition science has an important role in human health care engineering, and the publication of the National Nutrition Plan has brought new development opportunities to nutrition and health science. The health security and healthy aging of Chinese people all need the input of nutrition science and technology, and it is suggested that the scientific and industrial circles should as soon as possible condense the common technology, major common theory and key technical needs that need to be developed urgently, clarify the scientific frontiers of nutrition and health, the road map of industrial development in the next ten years, and increase the integration and input of public resources.
