Obesity has become a public health problem that seriously endangers the health of Chinese residents
In order to achieve the strategic goals of "Healthy China 2030", curb the prevalence of obesity and related chronic diseases, and further standardize and optimize life-cycle weight management and obesity prevention strategies, in response to the "World Obesity Day" on March 4, 2022, on "Obesity Prevention and Control, With the theme of "World Obesity Day, Everyone Needs to Act", more than 30 authoritative experts in related fields in China jointly formulated the "Expert Consensus on Obesity Prevention and Control for Chinese Residents" (hereinafter referred to as "Expert Consensus")
The "Expert Consensus" is based on relevant preliminary work, including important relevant guidelines such as the "Blue Book on Obesity Prevention and Control in China", expert consensus, action plans issued by relevant national ministries and commissions, and the latest relevant domestic and foreign research reports.
The following 15 recommendations for obesity prevention and control actions (referred to as "15 expert recommendations for obesity prevention and control actions") are proposed for the whole society, including the government, medical and health institutions, schools, families and individuals, etc.
